Job Details:

* Work shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
* Minimum of 1 year of experience required with Endoscopy experience mandatory
* Travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
* Minimum of 4 on-call shifts required per month
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Expected to work holidays based on assignment: 1 holiday if 1-2 fall during assignment, 2 holidays if 3 fall during assignment
* Charting system: Provation
* 3 days of orientation provided
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
* Active NJ or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
* Circulate role in inpatient endoscopy setting
* Perform and assist with procedures including Bronchoscopy, Colonoscopy, EGD, Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS), Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), ERCP, and Esophageal varices and banding
* Patient care responsibilities include starting and maintaining IVs, specimen handling and labeling, post-procedure care, airway management, and recovering patients from conscious sedation and monitored anesthesia care sedation
* Equipment used includes Bronchoscopy cart and supplies, dilators, disposable grounding pads, electrosurgical units, ERBE portable electrical coagulation instrument, forceps, foreign body equipment, and polyp snares
* Treat adult and pediatric patient populations across 3 rooms with a daily census of 20
* Hospital-provided scrubs
* Floating assigned in rotation with facility staff per hospital policy and Joint Commission standards
* All RTO, block, and scheduling requests must be included at time of submission

Facility:

This facility is a 361-bed independent, acute care hospital with an Endoscopy department that performs advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound, biopsy, polypectomy, esophageal variceal treatment, and emergency GI procedures. The department utilizes advanced endoscopic technology including SpyGlass and endoscopic ultrasound, providing both routine and complex GI care to its patient population.
