Job Details:

* Work 4x12 mid-shift schedule from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
* Weekday shifts with every other weekend required
* Holiday coverage required
* No call, charge, or float responsibilities
* Block scheduling available if requested at time of profile submittal
* 13-week contract
* Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 9-room emergency department with a daily census of 40 patients
* Treat patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Required skills include IV start, triage, and general emergency department competencies
* Preferred experience includes 5 years in an emergency department setting and small ED history
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Travel experience required - first-time travelers are not accepted
* Charting system: Cerner (experience required)
* Community hospital and charge experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and West Virginia RN license
* Preferred certifications: CPI, MAB, NRP
* Scrub color: Burgundy
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, and pharmacy
* 24 orientation hours provided

Facility:

This emergency department operates within a community hospital setting offering comprehensive emergency care services across a 9-room department. The facility is a STEMI and Stroke Certified facility equipped to handle a wide range of patient acuities and diagnoses. Interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, and pharmacy are available to support the clinical team in delivering high-quality patient care.
