Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Schedule includes weekdays and every other weekend
* No call, charge, or float responsibilities
* Block scheduling available if requested at time of profile submittal
* 13-week contract
* Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 9-room/9-bed emergency department with a daily census of 40 patients
* Treat patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Charting system: Cerner (experience required)
* Scrub color: Burgundy
* 2+ years of experience required; 5 years of ED experience preferred
* Small ED background preferred
* Travel experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS, WV License
* Preferred certifications: CPI, MAB, NRP, TNCC
* Required skills: IV start, triage, and emergency department competencies
* Must be proficient in skills including interpretation of dysrhythmias, ABG interpretation, blood product administration, procedural sedation monitoring, central line care, chest tube management, IV vasopressors, and triage
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and interpretation services
* Must maintain 75-mile radius from facility

Facility:

This emergency department operates a 9-bed unit with a daily census of 40 patients, providing care for a wide range of emergency conditions across all age groups. The facility is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and interpretation services. The unit utilizes Cerner as its charting system and supports a collaborative, fast-paced environment for emergency care professionals.
