ICU Nights

Job Details:

* Night shift position in the Intensive Care Unit
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week, with 48 hours at straight time allowed
* Patient ratio of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
* 6 weekend shifts required per schedule period
* Float requirement: May be floated to MS, Stepdown, PCU, ER, or CVICU with a maximum cap of 4 patients while floating
* 32-bed ICU unit serving adult patients
* 1.5+ years of experience required; 2 years preferred
* First-time travelers accepted
* Pending NM/Compact license accepted (must be obtained prior to start)
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, external ventricular drain (EVD) management, ICP monitoring, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, neuro intensive care, post neurosurgery management, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilator management, and more
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, social services, phlebotomy, and transportation
* 50-mile local radius enforced; locals not accepted
