Job Details:
* Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* Float required to meet needs of facility and department
* Staffing ratios based on acuity
* 2 years of emergency room experience required; first-time travelers accepted with ER experience
* South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (American Heart Association accepted)
* Preferred certifications: CPI and TNCC
* Epic charting experience required
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* No parking cost
* Treat patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Emergency department with 37 rooms and approximately 130 patient visits per day
* Special equipment includes Belmont and bedside ultrasound
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams, with peak activity in August and September
Facility:
This acute care hospital operates a high-volume emergency department with 37 beds and 286 total staffed beds facility-wide. The emergency department sees approximately 130 patient visits per day and provides care for patients of all age groups. The facility is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team and utilizes Epic for electronic charting. The facility is both a STEMI-certified and stroke-certified facility, equipped to handle a wide range of emergent and critical patient conditions.
