Opportunity:
Float Pool - RN
Job Details:
* Float pool position requiring flexibility across MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units within the hospital
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Patient ratios: 1:4-5 PCU; 1:5-6 MS and MS/Tele
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Required charting systems: Epic (required), Pyxis, SBAR
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Every other weekend required (average 6 weekends per 13-week contract)
* Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract
* No on-call requirements
* Holiday work expected based on number of major holidays falling within assignment period
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Required skills include: cardiac telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, central line care and management, PICC line management, peripheral line care and management, telemetry monitoring, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, tracheostomy care and management, wound care and wound vac, and more
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
* Hospital consists of 5 MS/MS Tele departments, 1 Cardiac Telemetry department, 1 Neuro intermediate unit, and 2 PCU units
