* Position may float between units including Mother/Baby or functionally elsewhere in the facility
* No on-call required
* Some weekend shifts required
* 48-hour shifts approved
* Labor patient ratio 1:2, Antepartum patient ratio 1:3
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Scrub color: Any color for RNs
* No parking fee
* 2 years of experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM
* Specialties include: High Risk Labor and Delivery, Antepartum, Pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, VBAC/TOLAC, active management of laboring patients, induction/augmentation, and maternal emergencies
* Skills required include: Triage of obstetrical patients, IUPC placement and calibration, central line maintenance (CVC/PICC), anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate therapy, assisting with high risk deliveries, circulating and recovering for C-sections, sterile vaginal exams, NST and OCT, external and internal fetal monitoring, recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, administration of blood and blood products, IV insertion and maintenance, neonatal resuscitation, newborn assessment, epidural and general anesthesia monitoring, breastfeeding and lactation support, and couplet care
* Patient age groups: Neonates, adolescents, infants, and adults
* Facility averages 9 deliveries per day and approximately 3,600 deliveries per year
* Unit has 25 rooms and 27 beds
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
* Special procedures include: Insulin drips, magnesium sulfate, PUBS, cerclages, versions, high risk MFM patients, and cardiac patients
* Valid WA or Compact RN license required at time of submission
* 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal

Facility:

This facility is a short-term acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center with Level II Pediatric Trauma Center designation. With 629 staffed beds, this teaching hospital provides comprehensive care across a wide range of specialties. The Labor and Delivery unit is well-supported with interdisciplinary services including respiratory, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams, ensuring a high standard of care for both mothers and newborns.
