Opportunity:

LPN/LVN Oncology

Job Details:

* Work 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, five days per week
* No weekend or on-call requirements
* Minimum 2 years of experience in an oncology setting required
* Previous charge experience required
* Patient ratio of 10 patients per day shift
* Charting in Epic required
* Dark blue scrubs provided
* Active California LVN license required with Intravenous Therapy and Blood Withdrawal certification
* Required certifications: BLS, Intravenous Therapy and Blood Withdrawal
* Perform central line blood draws and central line dressing changes
* Administer IV therapy and maintain IV pumps
* Conduct phlebotomy and label specimens
* Monitor intake and output and perform vital sign monitoring
* Perform medication reconciliation and pharmacy calls/patient refill requests
* Complete patient health questionnaires, histories, and allergy documentation
* Administer IM, SQ, and subcutaneous medications and vaccines
* Obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG and perform simple dressing changes
* Conduct telephone triage and follow-up phone calls
* Communicate patient status changes to RN/MD
* Perform pain assessment and management
* Work with adult patient population in a hematology/oncology outpatient clinic setting

Facility:

This cancer center is a specialized outpatient oncology facility dedicated to providing comprehensive cancer care services to patients. The facility offers a full range of hematology and oncology services, supported by an interdisciplinary team including phlebotomy support. The center is equipped with modern technology and utilizes Epic for patient charting, maintaining a high standard of care for adult oncology patients.
