Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Located on the 2 North floor in the main building
* 24-bed Progressive Care Unit with a patient ratio of 5:1
* Night shift staffing includes charge nurse, 4-5 RNs, and 2 PCTs
* Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PCU experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH
* Cardiac experience preferred
* Prior Meditech experience preferred
* Work with telemonitoring and post-op monitoring equipment
* EMR system: Meditech/CPN
* Perform post-op recovery for surgical and cath lab patients
* Care for post-op orthopedic patients including spine and joint procedures
* Manage a variety of patient populations including elective ortho, spine, GYN surgeries, elective cath lab procedures, stroke, CIWA, chest pain, renal failure, and respiratory failure
* Administer set-rate cardiac drips (non-titrating except heparin)
* Brand new state-of-the-art unit featuring ADA/Bari rooms with in-room Hoyer lifts
* Modified self-scheduling process with schedules posted 3 weeks in advance
* Friendly, outgoing personality and teamwork-oriented approach preferred
