Opportunity:

Cardiology Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)

Job Details:

* 4x8-hour shifts scheduled Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday; Tuesday shifts may be an option if needed to cover scheduling gaps
* Shift times vary by clinic: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; Tuesday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
* No weekend shifts required
* No on-call required
* Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday shifts at First Hill Clinic in Seattle
* Friday shifts at First Hill Clinic with possibility of floating to Ravenna Clinic in Seattle or Canyon Park Clinic in Bothell as needed
* Must have reliable personal transportation - public transportation is not accepted
* 6 months of experience working as an MA-C in an adult or pediatric outpatient clinic setting preferred; cardiology setting preferred
* Must be a certified Medical Assistant (MA-C); MA-R, MA-P, and MA-HT designations are not accepted
* This is a temp-to-hire opportunity; candidates must be open and willing to convert to a permanent position
* Required certifications: BLS, CMA
* EPIC charting experience preferred
* Scrub color: Solid dark colors, no prints
* Required skills include:
- Vital signs: height/weight, obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG, pulse oximetry
- Exam preparation: positioning/draping, recording history/medications/allergies
- Injections: immunizations
- Laboratory tests: blood glucose via glucometer
- Office duties: chart preparation, stocking supplies, telephone triage
- Professional skills: administering medication, follow-up phone calls, rooming patients

Facility:

This outpatient clinic specializes in cardiology and various other medical specialties, offering comprehensive ambulatory care services across multiple clinic locations in the Seattle and Bothell areas. The facility utilizes EPIC as its electronic health records system and maintains a professional, patient-centered environment across all of its clinic sites.
