Opportunity:

RN - Neuro/Surgical Telemetry

Job Details:

* Position is on a Neuro/Surgical Telemetry floor
* Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
* No on-call required, but may be required to float to other MS/Tele units or ICU (low acuity)
* 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule required
* Must be willing to work holidays as assigned
* Patient ratios: 4-5 patients per nurse on days, nights, and weekends
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with neuro and telemetry diagnoses
* 1 year of MS/Tele experience required; travel experience preferred
* Epic experience within the last 12 months required and must be clearly documented
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
* Active TN or compact license required
* Required skills include telemetry monitoring, neuro stepdown care, CVA management, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, blood product administration, central line care and management, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, PICC line management, high flow nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP management, and use of rapid response/code teams
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

Facility:

This facility operates a 31-bed Neuro/Surgical Telemetry unit with a daily census of 30 patients. The unit is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation, ensuring high-quality patient care across a range of neurological and telemetry needs.
