Opportunity:

RN - Telemetry

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week (3x12 nights schedule)
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* No call requirements
* Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required
* Prior travel experience of at least one 13-week assignment required
* Must pass a telemetry competency exam including identifying and measuring rhythm strips - failure of exam will result in contract termination
* Nevada RN license required prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Care for patient populations including CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMIs, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, and post-procedure patients such as pacemakers, ablations, cath lab, and OHS patients downgraded from ICU
* Administer non-titratable cardiac medication drips including Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitro
* May float to Intensive Care Units for telemetry/medically appropriate assignments, medical surgical units, and other facilities within the organization up to competency level
* Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
* May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during the schedule period

This facility is a nationally recognized medical center ranked in the top 1% of hospitals nationwide for outstanding care in heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, and surgical procedures. It operates as an extremely busy and fast-paced environment serving a 500-mile radius, functioning as a Level II Trauma Center with stroke accreditation and 800 inpatient beds. The volume and pace are comparable to that of a Level I trauma center. The facility offers comprehensive services including primary care, heart care, OB/GYN, advanced surgical services, rehabilitation, nuclear medicine, and imaging, operating 24/7 in a collaborative, multidisciplinary, patient-centered environment.
