Opportunity:

RN - Psychiatric

Job Details:

* 48 hours guaranteed per week
* Three 12-hour shifts required each day, seven days a week including weekends
* Days off are not guaranteed unless specified in contract
* No on-call requirements
* Work across multiple units including ADOL (adolescent ages 12-18), Serenity (lower acuity adult), ITU (higher acuity adult with thought disorder diagnoses), SRAD (senior lifestyle patients), and VINE (lower acuity adult)
* Patient ratios: nurses 8:1, MHTs 12:1
* Floating policy based on greatest need across units
* Assess patients' mental health status including recognizing signs of psychiatric disorders, substance use, and behavioral problems
* Develop individualized care plans based on patient needs including setting goals, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes
* Administer psychiatric medications and monitor for side effects or adverse reactions
* Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support for patients experiencing suicidal ideation or aggression
* Monitor patients for physical and psychological symptoms including vital signs, mental status changes, and medication effects
* Utilize therapeutic communication skills including active listening and empathy to build trust and rapport with patients
* Document using Meditech system
* Nurses wear blue scrubs
* Required certifications: BLS and Active Blue Card CPI
* Active Blue Card CPI required at time of submission
