Opportunity:

RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Details:

* Rapid response assignment lasting 6 weeks with the option to extend an additional 6 weeks at the same rate
* 48 hours required per week
* Work on a Labor and Delivery unit located on the 2nd floor of Building B in the Vintage Tower
* Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 10 staff, and 2 OB Techs
* Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 10 staff, and 2 OB Techs
* Patient ratios of 1 RN to 2 patients or 1 RN to 1 patient depending on acuity
* Use GE fetal monitoring equipment and EMR systems CPN and Meditech
* Perform procedures including NST, cervical exams, managing labor, titrating medications, and McRoberts maneuver
* AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification required - candidates without this skill will not be considered
* Must be able to perform Couplet Care if floated to Postpartum unit
* Over 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience preferred
* Transition Nurse/Baby Catching experience preferred
* Weekend availability required as needed
* No scheduled on-call typically required
* No special scheduling or RTO requests
* Hospital infant security scrubs required as dress code
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN EFM - must be included in submission packet

This is a full-service community hospital offering comprehensive obstetric care, including a Labor and Delivery unit with 11 labor beds, 4 OB evaluation beds, 2 OB PACU beds, and 2 operating rooms. The unit is staffed with a robust team of nurses and OB technicians across both day and night shifts, supporting a high-volume and dynamic environment. The facility utilizes modern fetal monitoring technology and established EMR systems to support quality patient care.
