Opportunity:

RN - PICU

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts
* Weekend coverage required
* Ability to float to other UCSF facilities as needed; may be reassigned to a different department, unit, or facility at any time during assignment
* Minimum 5 years of experience required
* PICU experience required
* Pediatric CVICU experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Trauma Level I experience preferred
* Teaching hospital experience required
* BSN required
* California RN license required
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, PALS
* Epic charting system experience required
* Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Patient age groups include neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
* 23-bed unit; Level 1 trauma center with mixed neuro and cardiac patients
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, and unit secretary
* Required skills include but are not limited to: arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, IV vasopressors, CRRT, ICP monitoring, continuous sedation, BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, tracheostomy care, management of chest tubes, external ventricular drain, post cardiac surgery, post neurosurgery care, and pediatric dosage calculations
* 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
