L&D Nights

Job Details:

* Night shift position with option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks or every third weekend required
* 2 years of experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, AWHONN, NRP - must be in hand at time of submission
* Valid KS or Compact RN license required at time of submission
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Float to Postpartum as needed based on facility needs
* Care for patients across age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, and adults
* Provide care for laboring patients including high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia and diabetes for gestations 34 weeks 0 days and greater
* Perform and assist with C-sections, external cephalic versions, and vaginal deliveries
* Manage OB triage, postpartum care, and Level 2 Special Care Nursery patients
* Administer and monitor Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin, prostaglandins, insulin drips, and antihypertensives
* Use of external and internal fetal monitoring, IUPC placement, and electronic fetal monitoring
* Neonatal resuscitation, newborn assessment, and management of neonatal abstinence syndrome
* Must reside beyond 50-mile local radius; locals not accepted

This facility operates a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit that includes OB triage, postpartum care, and a Level 2 Special Care Nursery. The unit provides comprehensive obstetric services, managing complex conditions such as pre-eclampsia, diabetes, and multiple gestations, while supporting a wide range of procedures including C-sections and external cephalic versions.
