Job Details:

* 17-week contract
* Available shift times include Days (7:00 AM?7:00 PM, 9:00 AM?9:00 PM), Mids (10:00 AM?10:00 PM, 11:00 AM?11:00 PM, 12:00 PM?12:00 AM, 1:00 PM?1:00 AM, 2:00 PM?2:00 AM), Evenings (3:00 PM?3:00 AM), and Nights (7:00 PM?7:00 AM)
* Every other weekend rotation required, with occasional back-to-back weekends possible; flexibility preferred
* No on-call or floating required
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a large volume ED with high acuity patients required
* First-time travelers will be considered
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC
* EMR: Epic experience required
* Skills required include barcode scanning medication administration, managing medication drips, blood product administration, triage experience (must pass hospital's Triage Test before allowed to triage), ability to set up chest tubes and arterial lines, assist with trauma and code cases, splinting, BiPAP/ventilator management, and strong understanding of ESI
* Pediatric emergency medicine experience highly preferred; Point of Care Lab experience is a plus
* Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatric, including pediatrics (medical and trauma), stroke (administer TNK), cardiac (cath lab), behavioral health and substance use disorder patients
* Patient ratios are 1:3?5 based on acuity; ED is set up in zones including a fast track area with 13 beds (green zone)
* Scrub color: any color, no logos

Facility:

This 226-bed Level III non-profit community hospital features a 34-bed emergency department seeing 200?250 patients per day, making it the busiest ED in the state. The facility operates as a Level III trauma center and provides comprehensive emergency services including stroke care, cardiac cath lab support, and pediatric emergency medicine. The ED is organized into structured zones to efficiently manage a high volume of diverse and high-acuity patients.
