Job Details:

* Night shift position in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* Patient ratio of 1:2
* Patients served include adults and geriatrics
* 2 years of experience preferred
* Previous travel experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, CVVHD/CRRT, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), IV insulin protocols, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, phlebotomy, PICC line management, post cardiac surgery care, pre/post cardiac cath/intervention, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, sheath removal, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), ventilator management, and ventricular assist device (LVAD/RVAD) management
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and phlebotomy
* Travelers may be expected to float to like units within their scope based on facility needs

Facility:

This facility is a specialized cardiovascular care hospital offering advanced cardiac and critical care services. The unit consists of 16 beds with a daily census of approximately 10 patients, maintaining a consistent 1:2 patient ratio across all shifts. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support and is affiliated with a larger medical center, offering a well-rounded and collaborative care environment for critically ill cardiac patients.
