Opportunity:

RN - Progressive Care Unit

Job Details:

* Work in a 44-bed Progressive Care Unit located on floor K7 in the K Tower building
* Patient ratios of 4:1 at grid, 5:1 when stretched
* Day and night shift grids include 2 CNC/Charge nurses, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, and 1 HUC
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call responsibilities
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Neuro and trauma care experience required
* Perform neuro and spinal checks, C-collar placement, and TLSO brace management
* Manage chest tubes, PCA pumps, and IV infusions
* Perform lumbar drain management, feeding tube placement, and blood transfusions
* Work with equipment including IV pumps, Skylift, PCA pumps, chest tubes, trachs, and patient lifts
* EMR system: Cerner
* May float to stepdown units and med-surg units
* Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
* Must be a team player with a patient-focused approach
