Opportunity:
Pharmacist
Job Details:
* Night shift position, 10 hours starting at 8:30 PM (2030)
* Flexible scheduling available with option to work 5 eight-hour shifts from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM (2200-0630)
* Minimum two years of recent experience in the field required
* Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree preferred
* One year of technical experience preferred; inpatient clinical pharmacy experience preferred
* Pharmacist license in the state of practice required
* All licensures and certifications required to fulfill pharmacist duties at the state level required
* ACLS (or HeartCode ACLS or HS-ACLS) certification required
* BLS (or HeartCode BLS or HS-BLS) certification required
* PALS (or HeartCode PALS or HS-PALS) certification required
* EPIC experience required
* Verify, process, enter, and distribute medication orders in compliance with department, hospital, and regulatory guidelines
* Monitor patient medication therapies to ensure efficacy, safety, and cost-effectiveness
* Review medication prescribing for appropriate indication, dose, route, frequency, allergy history, and drug interactions
* Conduct daily reports on medication utilization to identify and analyze areas for improvement
* Perform quality assurance procedures and participate in clinical rounds and medication management activities
* Collaborate with leadership and buyers to procure medications and supplies based on highest medication safety standards
* Document all interactions for medical review and supervise support personnel
* Assist in process improvement recommendations and development of new pharmacy services
