Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Schedule options of 4x12 or 3x12 nights
* Weekday and weekend shifts required with 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
* 13-week contract with possibility of extension
* 34-bed medical/surgical unit with telemetry
* Patient ratios of 1:5-7 with a daily census of approximately 30 patients
* Treats adult patient population
* Charting system: Cerner
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
* WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission
* Skilled in telemetry monitoring, IV management, wound care, blood product administration, central line care, chest tube management, heparin protocols, and use of rapid response/code teams
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Facility will only tolerate 2-3 call-offs per contract due to attendance expectations

This facility is home to a dynamic 34-bed medicine unit dedicated to providing exceptional care for patients with a wide range of acute medical conditions. The unit utilizes an acuity tool to optimize patient assignments and ensure appropriate staffing levels. Clinical nurse coordinators provide leadership on every shift, facilitating daily huddles, managing patient flow, and rounding on patients. The nurse manager maintains a strong presence on the unit, actively engaging with staff and patients daily. The organization upholds high standards of patient-centered care in a collaborative and supportive environment.
