Job Details:
* Large, high-acuity emergency department serving adolescents through geriatric patients
* 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio with a 59-bed ER averaging 165-175 patients per day
* Every other weekend shift required
* Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
* RTO blackout dates: Spring Break (April 4th - April 12th)
* No RTO can be requested during orientation week
* Holiday coverage required: if 1-2 major holidays fall within assignment period, traveler is expected to work all of them; if 3 major holidays fall within assignment period, traveler is expected to work 2 of them
* Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
* Floating may be required rarely within the facility and within scope of practice
* Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
* Travel experience required; manager prefers travelers with at least 3 completed ER contracts; candidates with 1-2 completed travel assignments will be screened
* Epic charting system experience required (hard stop - redirect if no Epic experience)
* Pyxis medication dispensing system experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
* Preferred certifications: TNCC, SANE
* Stroke and STEMI certified facility
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Georgia or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
* Previous charge nurse experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* 24 orientation hours required

This large, high-acuity emergency department is a Stroke and STEMI certified facility equipped to handle a wide range of critical and non-critical patient cases. The facility features 74 beds and sees an average of 165-175 patients per day, supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including IV teams, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and interpretation services. The organization maintains high standards for traveler compliance and clinical excellence to ensure the best possible outcomes for their patient population.
