Opportunity:
CVICU / Registered Nurse
Job Details:
* Patient ratio of 1:1-2; ratios may vary if floated
* Float required to all ICUs, PACU, ED for ICU holding patients, and all IMC units
* Every other weekend and holiday coverage required, as applicable
* All time off or schedule accommodations must be submitted and approved before offer
* Must be available to work 2 of 3 holidays unless otherwise specified
* 2 years of current CVICU experience required; SICU experience with initial training in a CVICU may be considered
* First-time travelers accepted
* Local candidates accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
* Active NJ or Compact license required
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Patient mix includes fresh hearts, ventilated patients, chest tubes, lumbar drains, and chronic and acute renal failure
* Required equipment experience: Impella, IABP, and CRRT using Prismax, or experience with fresh heart cases
* Required skills include: Post Op Open Heart Recovery, Swan, FloTrac, Temporary Pacers, Arterial Lines, and Chest Tubes
* CVICU experience with fresh open heart cases such as CABG, MVR, AVR, and TAVR required
* Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary
