RN - OR

Job Details:

* Monday through Friday schedule with 10-hour shifts and a rotating day off
* Call requirements are minimal at 1-2 shifts every 6 weeks
* 2 years of experience required with travel experience required
* Trauma Level I experience required
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* Patient ratio of 1:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 14-bed/room unit with a daily census of 45
* Patients include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Required experience in Orthopedics, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Vascular, and Urology
* Preferred experience with Da Vinci Robotic Surgery, endovascular procedures, and ophthalmology
* Required skills include but are not limited to: craniotomy, laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion, total joint replacement, carotid endarterectomy, cholecystectomy, prostatectomy, nephrectomy, laparoscopic-assisted cases, and more
* Required certification: BLS

This facility is a well-established health system offering a comprehensive range of surgical services across multiple specialties. The operating room unit supports a high-volume surgical environment with 14 rooms and a robust daily census. The facility provides interdisciplinary support and is equipped to handle complex surgical cases across orthopedics, neurology, vascular, urology, and general surgery, making it an excellent environment for experienced surgical nurses.
