Opportunity:

BLOCK 1ST TIMER - CHARGE EXP ER RN

Job Details:

* Block schedule required
* Every other weekend required
* On-call requirements unknown
* Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Some shifts may be as charge nurse and others as staff RN
* Charge experience preferred
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* At least 1 year of recent experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Scrub color: any color
* No parking fee
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
* Required skills include: airway management, management of vented patients, arterial line management, management of dysrhythmias, central line management, management of IV drips, isolation precautions, triage skills, NIH stroke scale, interpretation of dysrhythmias, continuous IV sedation, and titration of IV vasopressors
* Treat patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Valid compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during submittal
* 2 professional references required, covering 1 year within the last 3 years

Facility:

This short-term acute care facility is a Level III Trauma Center with 104 staffed beds and an emergency department featuring 15 rooms and 23 beds. The facility maintains a daily census of 90 or more patients and utilizes Epic for charting. Comprehensive interdisciplinary support is available on the unit, including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services, ensuring a well-rounded and collaborative care environment.
