Opportunity:
RN - Electrophysiology
Job Details:
* 13-week contract position
* Schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
* No weekend shifts required
* No on-call requirements
* No floating between units required
* Minimum 2 years of experience working as an RN in an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certification: BLS
* EPIC charting experience required
* Attire: Any color scrubs
* Required cardiac cath lab skills include: pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction/removal and Watchman procedure
* Required electrophysiology skills include: arrhythmia induction, cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, conduction studies, insertion/programming of AICDs, left atrial appendage (LAA) closure, and pacemaker insertion
* Required medication knowledge includes: antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, and thrombolytics
* Required professional skills include: cardioversion, interpretation/management of dysrhythmias, and obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG
* Patient education experience preferred, particularly around lifestyle and medication adherence
* Experience with quality improvement initiatives preferred
* Preferred qualifications include: familiarity with GLP-1 therapies in AFib management, experience in risk factor modification clinics or device clinics
* Background in cardiac step-down unit, cardiac telemetry, or cardiac ICU is a plus
* Interdisciplinary support available including interpretation services, phlebotomy, and unit secretary
Facility:
This is a Heart & Vascular Clinic providing specialized cardiac and electrophysiology services. The facility supports a broad range of advanced cardiac procedures and works collaboratively across interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care. The unit handles general cardiology, interventional, electrophysiology, and heart failure cases, with access to interpretation services, phlebotomy, and unit secretary support.
