Job Details:
* Post partum preferred with Labor and Delivery, postpartum, and newborn care experience
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Weekend shifts required to meet staffing needs
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Self-scheduling type
* 40 orientation hours required
* Average daily census of 15-20 patients with up to 20 visits per day
* 11 rooms and 15 beds on unit
* Patient age groups include neonates, infants, and adults
* Patient ratio experience of 1:3 required
* Float required within scope to meet facility needs; travelers are first to float
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility; refusal to float may result in termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
* California state license required; pending license not accepted
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
* Charting system experience required; Epic system used
* Required skills include: Labor and Delivery, cesarean section circulation, couplet care, mother/baby, postpartum hemorrhage, magnesium sulfate therapy, fetal heart rate monitoring (internal and external), newborn assessment, breastfeeding and lactation support, epidural anesthesia, pitocin administration, high-risk antepartum care, triage of obstetrical patients, and additional obstetrical procedures
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
* RTO restricted to no more than 7 days; all RTO requests must be submitted upfront during submittal
* 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years, completed during compliance process prior to start
