RN - Oncology Clinic

Job Details:

* Day shift position working 4 x 10-hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
* Rotating schedule with no set days of the week
* No on-call requirements
* Minimum 2-3 years of recent nursing experience required
* ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification required
* EPIC electronic health records experience required
* Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) from an approved vendor
* ONC/ONCC-CHIM certification required
* Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required
* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
* Deliver coordinated nursing care for outpatients in a clinic setting according to established standards of care
* Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
* Coordinate care with other disciplines utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment
* Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues
* Develop and implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and evaluate progress toward patient outcomes
* Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe and effective care
* Prepare patients, rooms, and equipment for surgical procedures and assist physicians with minor surgery
* Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
* Provide health education and information to patients, families, and treatment team members

It is comprised of a 50-bed acute care medical center, level IV trauma center, level II intensive care nursery services, an extensive physical rehabilitation program, outpatient surgery and diagnostic center, and an advanced wound care center.
