RN - Wound Care

Job Details:

* Day shift position, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with no weekend requirements
* Provide specialized wound, ostomy, and continence care to medically complex patients in an acute care setting
* Conduct rounds on all patients with wound/pressure ulcers and pressure injuries on an as-needed basis
* See patients from different units based on wound care needs, including consults and pressure injury evaluations
* Serve as a resource and consultant for wound care management including identification, assessment, treatment, and prevention
* Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to provide updated wound care information
* Manage patients with draining wounds, fistulas, and tubes
* Treat patients with altered skin integrity due to pressure necrosis, drainage, or incontinence
* Work autonomously with authority, responsibility, and accountability for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of wound care programs
* Provide health education and information to patients, families, and treatment team members
* Any scrub color is acceptable
* EPIC experience required
* At least two years of recent wound care experience required
* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
* Required certifications: BLS (from approved vendor)
* Wound care certification preferred with plan to achieve within a determined time period
* Current RN nursing license required per state of assignment
