Opportunity:

RN - Operating Room

Job Details:

* Day/Evening shifts, 5 x 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 8:30 PM
* Open to 4 x 10-hour shift schedule
* Schedule and start times rotate
* Call required at least 1 night per week and 1 weekend per schedule, with potential for more based on need
* Assist surgeons and anesthesiologist and coordinate flow of equipment, supplies, and staff during surgical procedures
* Ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative phase of care
* Participate in patient care planning, assessment, and nursing treatment
* Circulate in the Operating Room during surgical procedures
* Apply principles of aseptic technique consistently
* Safely operate all equipment routinely utilized in the Operating Room
* Prepare patients for surgery including safe and appropriate anatomical positioning
* Perform pre, intra, and post procedure patient care planning and assessment
* Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials from operative procedures
* Ortho, Neuro, and Trauma experience required
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* EPIC experience required
* Associate Degree (A.S.) or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
* Minimum one year of full-time Operating Room experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
* Preferred certifications: CNOR
* Current RN license in state of practice required

Facility:

This facility has been providing care to the community since 1959 and operates as a 162-bed acute care facility. It includes a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and serves as a county designated trauma center. The facility offers comprehensive surgical services with a focus on patient safety and quality care throughout the perioperative process.
