Job Details:

* Day and night shifts available: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Schedule cycle runs Sunday through Saturday
* Every other weekend rotation required
* On-call only applies if scheduled shift is called off due to low census
* One holiday shift possible
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Care for high risk and low risk ante-partum, intra-partum pregnant women, immediate postpartum patients, stabilization of normal newborns, and couplet care
* Patient ratios: 1:1 for high risk patients; typically 1:2 otherwise, following AWHONN guidelines
* Unit includes 12 beds, 3 ORs, and 2 OB ER rooms
* Required skills: IUPC, FSE, IV starts, and circulating C-sections
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, EFM; Surgical Scrub requires BLS and CST
* EMR system: EPIC
* IV pumps: Baxter
* Medication dispensing: Pyxis
* Fetal monitoring: GE/Centricity and Phillips EFM/tele
* Centralized EFM, telemetry EFM, and cardiac tele available
* May float to Postpartum and NICU (for level 2 newborns)
* Orientation typically consists of 2-3 shifts depending on competency and comfort
* Scrub color: Dark blue, provided by the hospital
* Free parking available in designated areas

This is a 388-bed hospital operating as a Level 3 Trauma Center, offering a comprehensive range of medical services. The labor and delivery unit is well-supported around the clock with charge nurses, receptionist and HUC coverage, hospitalist services, and respiratory therapy with NICU support. The facility maintains a fully equipped environment with modern technology to support high-quality patient care across a variety of acuity levels.
