RN - Intermediate Care Unit

Job Details:

* Work 3x12-hour day shifts per week
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* No call requirements
* Minimum 2 years of IMC/Stepdown experience required
* Medical/Neuro ICU experience preferred
* Must have experience with vasopressors, titratable drips, art lines, neuro-stepdown patients, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach management
* Required to pass an ECG/Telemetry exam including reading and interpreting rhythm strips - failure of exam results in contract termination
* Prior travel experience of one 13-week assignment required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Nevada RN license required prior to start
* Care for patients with general medical disease processes including post ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, sepsis, cardiac, and respiratory conditions
* Provide moderately complex assessments, moderately intensive therapies, and interventions for non-life-threatening conditions
* May be required to float to other units up to competency level
* May be required to work major holidays and must pick up one additional shift per 4-week schedule period
* Must be available to work 2 of the 3 major holidays
* Schedule may include weekends and holidays and varies based on department needs

This facility is an extremely busy and fast-paced Level II Trauma Center serving a 500-mile radius with stroke accreditation and 800 inpatient beds. The volume and pace are comparable to that of a Level I trauma center, treating over 80,000 emergency and trauma patients annually. The facility is home to the region's only children's hospital, a leading robotic surgery institute, groundbreaking brain and nerve care, and comprehensive heart and cancer services. The 18-bed Intermediate Care Unit focuses on delivering clinical excellence and exceptional patient-centered care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
