Opportunity:

RN - Telemetry

Job Details:

* Work 3x12 night shifts with 36 weekly guaranteed hours
* No on-call requirements
* Patient ratios determined by acuity/workload, typically 1:4 up to 1:6
* Care for patients in a 38-bed telemetry unit staffed with RNs, CNAs, Critical Care Techs, and Advanced Care Techs
* Treat patient populations including CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMIs, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, and post-procedure patients including pacemakers, ablations, cath lab procedures, and OHS patients downgraded from ICU
* Administer non-titratable cardiac medication drips including Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitro
* May float to Intensive Care Units for telemetry/medical appropriate assignments, medical-surgical units, and other facility locations
* May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift per schedule period (every 4 weeks)
* Schedule varies based on department needs and can include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
* Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required
* Must pass a telemetry competency exam including identifying and measuring rhythm strips
* Prior travel experience of one 13-week assignment required
* Nevada RN license required prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS (APEX)

Facility:

This facility is an extremely busy and fast-paced healthcare environment serving a 500-mile radius, operating as a Level 2 trauma center with stroke accreditation. The facility features 800 inpatient beds and 80 emergency room beds, with a volume and pace comparable to that of a Level 1 trauma center. The organization is home to the region's only children's hospital, a leading robotic surgery institute, groundbreaking brain and nerve care, and comprehensive heart and cancer services. The facility has pioneered numerous medical advancements in the region, including the first accredited heart failure center, the first Institute for Neurosciences, and the first low-dose CT imaging, Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System, and dedicated PET/CT scanner in the area.
