Opportunity:

Electroneurodiagnostic (EEG) Technologist

Job Details:

* 8-hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
* Guaranteed hours per week: 16-24 hours (GSA)
* Billing Monday through Sunday
* Guaranteed set hours per week except during holidays when unit is closed
* Rotating on-call coverage Friday 4:00 PM to Monday 7:30 AM, every other weekend
* Weekend requirements as needed due to call
* Holiday requirements as needed due to call
* Contract length: 13 weeks
* No float requirements
* Prepare patients and perform Electroencephalograms (EEGs) as ordered by a physician
* Perform routine EEGs, sleep-deprived EEGs, daytime long-term monitoring, and consults for hospitalized patients
* Obtain thorough patient history and provide patient education and comfort during testing procedures
* Work with multidisciplinary healthcare team to facilitate services, provide consultation and education, and generate accurate reports for physicians
* Apply knowledge of pattern recognition, medical and pharmacological conditions, and electrical safety
* Maintain accurate department documentation and archive patient testing records
* Serve patients across all age groups including infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
* Required certifications: Registered Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist (REEGT) and AHA BLS
* Required education: Graduate of an Electroneurodiagnostic or Polysomnographic program accredited by CAAHEP, or Approved ABRET EEG Exam Practice Pathway Track, or Associate Degree Track; Bachelor's Degree preferred
* Minimum 6+ months of experience as an Electroneurodiagnostic Technician or Electrodiagnostic Technician required
* Epic charting experience preferred
* Scrub color: Any color except those specific to designated work groups such as Nursing or Medical Assistants
