Opportunity:

Pharmacist

Job Details:

* Inpatient role with variable assignments based on team needs
* 10-hour shifts available in PM/overnight roles on a 7/70 block schedule (30 hours one week and 40 hours the next during the 2-week pay period)
* Day shifts are 8-hour staggered start beginning at 6:00 AM
* Primarily 3rd shift (9:00 PM to 7:00 AM) with rotation to 2nd shift (12:00 PM to 10:00 PM) as needed
* Typical work week begins on Wednesday for block schedule roles
* Up to every other weekend required
* Rotating holiday schedule
* No formal on-call requirement; may be asked to call in for sick coverage
* Perform order verification, product check and release, and remote sterile compounding verification
* Complete clinical tasks including IV-PO conversions, renal dose reviews, aminoglycoside dosing, and anticoagulation dosing
* Must be comfortable with standard pediatric orders due to embedded pediatric hospital
* Utilize Omnicell ADMs, Cerner EMR, and Pharmacy Keeper compounding and remote verification systems
* Business casual dress code unless entering sterile environment; facility scrubs provided in navy for sterile compounding areas
* Minimum 1 year of hospital experience required; residency trained or 3 years of experience preferred
* Wisconsin license required; ACT 10 accepted
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
* Orientation period of 1 to 2 weeks depending on specialization of the role being filled

This acute care facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center offering a comprehensive inpatient pharmacy program with 24-hour pharmacy technician staffing in both sterile compounding and non-sterile roles. The facility features an embedded pediatric hospital, providing a unique and dynamic environment for pharmacy professionals. The pharmacy department utilizes modern technology and systems to support clinical and compounding operations across a variety of inpatient specializations.
