Job Details:

* Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with flexible scheduling options available
* Acute care setting
* Charting system: EPIC
* Plan, develop, and provide diet interventions, medical nutrition therapy, nutrition care, and preventive counseling to individuals and groups
* Provide medical nutrition therapy services across all age groups including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
* Conduct nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans
* Implement nutrition therapy including verbal orders, diet modification, nutrition support, and oral nutrition supplements
* Provide education and counseling for disease and nutrition risk management
* Evaluate outcomes of medical nutrition therapy interventions
* Optimize self-management education and skills for patients with chronic conditions
* Recognize, evaluate, and provide for nutritional needs based on cultural, ethnic, and religious beliefs
* Evaluate treatments or procedures for effectiveness using an evidence-based approach
* Work on nutrition care protocols and serve as a leader for the health care team in implementing nutrition therapies
* Educate patients on diet according to disease state, medical condition, and health risk
* Minimum of a bachelor's degree in dietetics or food and nutrition through an ACEND-accredited program required (master's degree required for those taking registration exam after January 1, 2024)
* Clinical nutrition experience through an approved coordinated undergraduate program or successful completion of a post-graduate internship required
* Currently holds Registered Dietitian (RD) license within applicable state(s) through CDR required
* Minnesota state license required
