Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
* Block scheduling is never promised or guaranteed
* Floating to other units required
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Treat adult patients ages 18 and older
* Common diagnoses include Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory, COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-operative cases
* Experience with specialty equipment required including temporary pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP, and Neptune Vapo
* Experience with chronic ventilators required with respiratory therapy available to assist with patients unable to wean
* Minimum 2 years of experience in IMCU/PCU required
* Travel experience required
* EMR experience required: EPIC
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Active NY RN license required with NURSYS verification

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a large intermediate care unit with 64 beds, including 15 designated neuro beds, providing specialized care for a wide range of complex medical conditions. The unit is equipped with advanced specialty equipment to support the treatment of critically ill patients across multiple disciplines including neurology, cardiology, trauma, and respiratory care. The facility maintains high standards of patient care with dedicated support from respiratory therapy and other specialty services.
