Job Details:

* 13-week assignment with variable 3x12 shift schedule
* Weekend coverage required as needed to cover open shifts
* No on-call responsibilities
* Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; travel experience required
* First-time travelers not accepted
* Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from facility
* Alaska RN license must be in hand for auto offer
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Charting system: Epic experience required
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Free parking available
* Patient ratios: 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* May float to like units if needed to meet facility needs; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
* Block scheduling not available
* Self-scheduling available
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All RTO must be requested upfront during submittal; post-submittal RTO may not be considered or granted
* Required skills include but are not limited to: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, ICP monitoring, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, PICC line management, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, and ventilator management
* Patient diagnoses include medical and surgical cardiac, open heart recovery, neuro intervention, stroke, sepsis, respiratory failure, trauma, spinal cord injury, and targeted temperature management
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and more
* Special equipment includes IABP, CRRT, Impella, tandem heart, Belmont, Camino, and CoolGuard

With 407 staffed beds and a 27-bed ICU, the facility offers a comprehensive range of critical care services supported by a robust interdisciplinary team. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and is equipped with advanced specialty equipment to support complex patient care needs.
