Opportunity:
Cath Lab Tech
Job Details:
* First time travelers welcome
* Friday through Sunday day shifts, every other weekend, first to float
* Flexible scheduling with 10-hour or 12-hour shifts available, open to block scheduling Friday through Sunday
* Cases performed with 2 techs - one scrubs and one monitors hemodynamics
* RN performs conscious sedation; a 4th person (RN or tech) may assist depending on the case
* Lead Tech responsible for making room assignments
* Facility operates 5 suites: 2 for coronary cases, 1 for peripheral cases, 1 for vascular and neuro cases, and 1 for EP cases
* Average caseload ranges from 10 to 22 cases per day
* Rotate call for inpatient and emergent cases once per week on weeknights
* Weekend call requirement: 1 weekend per month from Friday evening through Monday morning, subject to change based on unit needs
* Hospital cancellation policy: up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for shorter assignments
* Charting system: Cerner
* Must have current cath lab experience
* Must be comfortable with conscious and moderate sedation, procedural processes, and airway management
* Must be comfortable with cardiac drips such as Integrilin, dopamine, and vasopressors, as well as balloon pumps
* Skills required: STEMI receiving facility experience; cardiac/coronary, vascular, peripheral, general IR, and neuro intervention
* Agency provides traveler with rad badge
* Required certifications: ARRT, Fluoroscopy, BLS - RCIS or CCT will NOT be accepted
* BSN not required
* Valid state license required for submission

This acute care facility operates a comprehensive cardiac catheterization lab with 5 specialized suites dedicated to coronary, peripheral, vascular, neuro, and electrophysiology procedures. The facility functions as a STEMI receiving center and handles a high volume of cases daily, supported by a structured team of skilled technologists and nursing staff.
