Open Position: RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Opportunity:

Cath Lab RN

Job Details:

* Work 4 shifts per week on 9-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
* Approximately 15 call shifts every 6 weeks
* Weeknight call approximately 10 times per month
* Weekend call coverage required for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday approximately every 3rd weekend
* Holiday call is required and shared amongst staff, including 1 major summer and 1 major winter holiday
* Call response time is 30 minutes
* Circulate and monitor cath and IR cases averaging 4 cases per day
* Perform pre and post procedure care as well as pre and post procedure patient calls
* Common patient diagnoses include STEMI, NSTEMI, pacemakers, and IR patients
* Cath lab experience is required; IR experience or willingness to learn is preferred
* Proficiency with Epic, MacLab, and Siemens equipment required
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
* BSN not required
* Scrubs provided
* Floating within zone 3 may be required in cases of extreme need
* Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a combined Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology lab with 2 suites, providing comprehensive cardiac and IR services. The facility has cardiologists in-house during the day and on call overnight, ensuring continuous support for patients with complex cardiovascular needs. The unit utilizes Epic as its primary charting system alongside specialized cardiac equipment to deliver high-quality patient care.
