RN - Oncology

Job Details:

* Work on an Oncology unit located on floors 9/10 South in the South Tower
* Patient ratios are estimated at 4:1 with a maximum of 5:1
* Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, up to 5 RNs, and 2 PCTs per floor
* Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, up to 5 RNs, and 1 PCT per floor
* Unit consists of 41 beds
* Work with Baxter pumps and document using Meditech EMR
* Perform blood and electrolyte replacement daily
* Perform sterile dressing changes with strong understanding of infection prevention protocols
* Familiarity with ports and central lines preferred
* General Medical Oncology understanding preferred
* Rotating weekend schedule required
* Team-centered approach is essential for success on this unit
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
* Dress code: Royal Blue scrubs monogrammed with hospital name and hospital-approved jackets
