Open Position: RN - Pre Op PACU

Opportunity:

RN - Preop Holding/Day Surgery

Job Details:

* Work 3 x 12-hour shifts per week; 4 x 10-hour shifts per week may also be considered
* Shift start times vary between 5:00 AM, 5:30 AM, 6:00 AM, 6:30 AM, or 7:00 AM depending on surgery schedule; typical start time is 5:30 AM
* One closing day required per week, scheduled 7:00 AM until last patient leaves; additional pay provided after 7:00 PM on closing days
* No weekends or holidays required
* Float only within Day Surgery and Preop Holding units
* Prepare surgical patients for surgery and provide Phase 2 recovery care
* Required skills: IV starts, moderate sedation, Preop/Holding, and Phase 2 recovery experience
* Advanced procedures performed on unit include nerve blocks, arterial lines, central lines, and Swan
* Document using Meditech system
* Use equipment including cardiac monitors, ultrasound, and EKG machines
* Unit staffing includes unit secretaries and technicians in Day Surgery
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
* Required dress code: Blue scrubs
