RN - Med/Surg

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Located on the 6th floor Medical/Telemetry unit in the main building
* Unit operates with 33 rooms and up to 49 patients, including some semi-private rooms
* Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 1.5 techs, and 5-6 RNs
* Patient ratios of 5:1 on night shift
* Work with telemetry monitoring equipment
* EMR system: Meditech
* Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital Med/Surg experience required
* BLS certification required
* ACLS certification preferred
* Experience with spinal cord injury (SCI) patients preferred
* Perform wound care, occasional bowel program, and light burn care
* Care for surgical flap patients including spinal cord injury patients with stage 4 wounds
* Support low acuity burn patients in partnership with the burn unit
* Busy floor environment requiring strong patient care experience

Facility:

This facility is a busy medical floor specializing in the care of surgical flap patients, including spinal cord injury patients with stage 4 wounds requiring surgical intervention. The unit partners with an on-site burn unit to provide care for low acuity burn patients. The facility utilizes modern telemetry monitoring equipment and maintains experienced staff dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
