Opportunity:

Staff RN - OB Unit

Job Details:

* Work on a 5-bed OB Unit covering Antepartum, Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Nursery, and Outpatient Testing
* Must be available to work any shifts with a preference for nights
* Must work 80 hours every 2 weeks with no exceptions
* Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery and couplet care experience required
* Care for Antepartum, Intrapartum, Postpartum, High Risk, and Laboring Patients including conditions such as PIH, placenta abruption, prolapsed cord, placenta previa, VBAC, GDM, PTL, and PROM
* Care for Observation and NST patients as well as Well Babies, Phototherapy, and Special Care Nursery Babies
* Start adult and neonatal IVs, perform adult and neonatal Accu checks, and PKU on newborns
* Provide newborn resuscitation, APGAR scoring, bulb suctioning, DeLee suctioning, and assist with circumcisions
* Assist anesthesia with administration of intrathecal or epidural, monitor PCA pumps, and attend C-sections
* Recover patients after C-section or BTL, hang IV fluids, and administer IVPB medications
* Administer and titrate Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and Insulin drips
* Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate and report to physician
* Monitor laboring patients on Cytotec, IUPC, ISE, amnioinfusion, and assist with external cephalic version (ECV)
* Utilize equipment including Avalon fetal monitoring machine, PYXIS machine, Ohmeda Infant Warmer System, Neopuff, Oxygen Blender, Bilibed, Neoblue bed and overhead, OUR 365, Echoscreen, Adult and Neonatal crash cart, and vital signs machine
* Facility uses paper charting
* Willing to float to other departments when census decreases
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and Fetal Monitoring (FM) certification
* L&D, Postpartum, and Nursery experience is required
