Job Details:

* Work 10-12 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, shift negotiable
* Call policy requires one weekday per week and one weekend per month (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) in rotation with staff
* 30-minute call response time required; call room available on site if needed
* Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
* One week of unit/department specific orientation required; must be in state for week of orientation
* Common cases include open heart, TAVR, open/endovascular, and thoracic procedures
* Facility operates 16 suites including 3 CVOR suites with an average of 30 cases per day including 1-2 heart cases per day
* Open heart experience and/or endovascular experience required
* RNs required to scrub in to hold the heart and help close the chest
* Float to General OR if no CVOR cases are scheduled; may float within Zone 1 in cases of extreme need
* Charting system: Epic
* Hospital provided scrubs (light blue)
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA); ACLS preferred
* Must reside within 60 miles of facility; valid driver's license must be submitted

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a large surgical services department with 16 operating suites, including 3 dedicated cardiovascular operating rooms. The facility handles a high volume of complex cardiovascular cases including open heart surgeries and endovascular procedures, supported by a team of OR technicians and experienced charge nurses. The organization utilizes Epic as its electronic medical records system and provides hospital-issued scrubs to its staff.
