Opportunity:

RN - Medical Surgical

Job Details:

* Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
* Every other weekend coverage required, may vary based on facility need
* Floating to other facilities and units required based on census and need
* Must have MS/Tele skill set and competencies to float to MS/Tele floors as needed
* Must pass an EKG exam
* Patient ratio is 1:5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights
* 36-bed unit with an average daily census of 20 patients
* Care for adult and geriatric patient population with diagnoses including respiratory diseases, infections, dementia, and neurological conditions
* Medication system: Omnicell
* Documentation system: EPIC (minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required)
* Minimum 2 years of experience in field required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and SC RN license
* Required skills include: blood product administration, central line care and management, CVA management, feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, MS/Tele, nasal cannula and oxygen administration, peripheral line care and management, renal failure, starting and maintaining IVs, use of rapid response and code teams, and wound care and wound vac
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
* Charge RN on every shift to facilitate flow and oversee operations
