Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

* Work 3x12 or 4x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Every other weekend coverage required, may change based on need
* 13 or 26 week contract available
* Floating is required - may float to like units at the facility or to other facilities in the area based on census needs
* Patient ratios are 1:1-2 for days, nights, and weekends
* Daily census of 7 with 11 rooms and 11 beds on unit
* Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Patient diagnoses include COVID ICU cases
* Must have at least 2 years of experience in field; first-time travelers will be reviewed based on experience
* Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
* South Carolina RN license required
* Required skills include care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and management of dysrhythmias
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
* Pre-assignment testing and modules required to be completed within 48 hours of receiving login information

This healthcare facility operates a dedicated ICU with 11 beds, providing specialized care for adult and geriatric patients including complex COVID ICU cases. The unit is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The facility utilizes EPIC as its documentation system and maintains high standards of patient care with consistent staffing ratios of 1:1-2 across all shifts.
