Opportunity:

RN - Radiation Oncology

Job Details:

* Work in an outpatient radiation oncology department seeing approximately 50 patients per day
* Treat adult patient population
* No weekend shifts required
* No floating required
* No on-call required
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated - must be fully flexible
* Perform IV starts, patient education, triage of patient calls, and wound care
* Apply skills in radiation oncology including external beam radiation therapy, image-guided radiation therapy, and radiation safety precautions
* Monitor and manage medication side effects, nausea/vomiting, neuropathy, fatigue, nutritional status, and skin integrity
* Skin wound care experience preferred
* Minimum 3 years of med/surg RN experience required
* Radiation oncology experience preferred
* Active California RN license required - no pending or temporary licenses accepted
* Epic EMR experience required
* BLS certification required
* OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification highly preferred
* ACLS certification preferred
* Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams

This is a leading healthcare facility with a dedicated outpatient radiation oncology department that serves approximately 50 patients daily across six treatment rooms. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, interpretation services, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The organization maintains high standards of patient care and utilizes Epic as its primary electronic medical records system.
