RN - PCU/Stepdown

Job Details:

* Night shift position with 36 or 48 hour weekly options available
* Unit serves a mixture of med/surg and intermediate care patients
* Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:4 to 1:6 depending on patient assignment each shift
* Must be willing to float to med/surg in case of overflow
* Daily census of 12-14 patients with 24 beds on unit
* Patients include adults and geriatric age groups
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First time travelers accepted
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Experience with Epic charting system preferred
* Patient ratio experience of 5-6 required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills include telemetry, PCU/stepdown, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central line care and management, cardiac drip management, arterial line management, vasoactive drip management and titration, tracheostomy care, wound care, BiPAP/CPAP management, IV insulin protocols, heparin protocols, PICC line management, and high flow nasal cannula
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, social services, and phlebotomy
* 50-mile radius rule applies, no local candidates
