Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg Intermediate Care

Job Details:

* Day shift position with 36 or 48 hour weekly options available
* Unit accepts first-time travelers
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Must be willing to float to Med/Surg in case of overflow
* Unit consists of a mixture of Med/Surg and intermediate care patients
* Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:4 to 1:6 depending on patient assignment each shift
* Daily census of 12 to 14 patients across a 24-bed unit
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Required skills include telemetry, PCU/stepdown care, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, cardiac drip management, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and social services
* 50-mile radius rule applies, no local candidates considered
* State or compact license must be in hand at time of submittal
